No news is...no news

Well, our last doctors visit was today. Everything went well. Basically, I'm still not dilated any further, but I'm fully effaced. The official due date is this Saturday, September
15th. If I haven't gone into labor by Monday then I'm scheduled to go in for an ultrasound and something he called a low-stress test. He said this would let us check out what everything looked like in the womb (baby, placenta, amniotic fluid) and this information would help Koby and I decide if and when we want to schedule to be induced. I pray that we don't make it until Monday, for several reasons...some selfish, some not. In the meantime I suppose we'll all just have to hurry up and wait!
In my most recent (and very rare) bursts of energy I went to the mall and found this cute onesie at Gymboree. Koby's face lit up when he saw it...and then he saw the receipt! Haha, just kidding. It was on sale. I don't even look at the regular priced items in that store! :)

I've read in several places that the average first time pregnancy in this country is 41 weeks and 2 days. The 40 week mark was set by some doctor like 100 years ago, and no one has ever changed it! Maybe this will make you feel a bit better if you do go over your due date!

If you do make it to your due date, do something special to mark the day. Jason and I went to the zoo to try to walk her out of me! It didn't work, but it was a fun last hoorah for us before the baby days began. We're thinking of you.

I love caren's idea...a trip to a zoo or state park (not TOO remote, though, just in case labor starts!) would be FUN and make the day so special...

Here's to hoping Caroline and Olivia will hurry up! Who knows? Maybe we'll end up at the hospital together?

Hey Irma, just read the comment you left on my blog. No, a trip to the laundromat and marathon housecleaning don't count as something fun, but I think it means Olivia is on the way! That sounds like full-on nesting to me and lots of moms swear by that as the only true sign that labor is coming!
